Maintenance Technician

Compensation: £32,000 – £36,000 / year
Our Maintenance Technician supports the property team to ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time and to a high quality. This role involves visiting our nurseries to assist with repairs, scheduled works (including Health & Safety issues) and providing support to the Maintenance Team and other nursery team members.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of our buildings to ensure that they meet health and safety standards and legal requirements.
- Travel to our various nursery sites to carry out routine maintenance visits & work to a planned monthly visit schedule.
- Strong communication with our nursery teams regularly.
- Be responsible for building‑related procurement.
- Respond to emergency call-outs within 24 hours.
- Work a flexible shift pattern, including some evening and weekend work.
- Managing Maintenance expenses.
- You will be expected to work and stay away on occasion if required.
Qualifications
- Experience in the property and construction industry.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical and joinery work is essential.
- A qualification in plumbing or electrics is preferable.
- Competency in basic building repairs.
- Ability to use tools and operate equipment.
- Must have a full clean driving licence (Expenses will be reimbursed).
