CNC Turner Setter / Operator

Location: Near Camberley, Surrey

Salary: £14 to £20 per hour plus 1/3 shift uplift, salary £44,000 to £56,000

Nightshift: 46‑hour week Monday to Thursday, 17:00 to 05:00am plus overtime paid at time and half

Are you an experienced CNC Turner? If so, our client is a growing Aerospace Precision Engineering / Manufacturing company located in the Camberley area and are looking for an experienced CNC Turner Setter / Operator to work their nightshift.

Our client offers a clean and modern workshop with state‑of‑the‑art machinery, a friendly team, and excellent benefits such as overtime paid at time and half, pension, uniform etc. Basic £14 to £20 per hour plus 1/3 shift uplift (Salary £44,000 to £56,000). Commutable from Camberley, Yateley, Reading, Basingstoke, Woking, Aldershot, Guildford and surrounding areas. Nightshift: 46‑hour week Monday to Thursday, 17:00 to 05:00am.

CNC Turner Setter / Operator Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC Turning centres.
  • Occasional editing of programmes.
  • Use of conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco (training available).
  • Ensuring that programmes are working effectively.
  • Observing the Company’s health and safety rules.
  • General duties as required conducive to efficient running of the section.

CNC Turner Setter / Operator Previous Experience

  • CNC setting and operating experience – 2‑Axis Turning Centres.
  • Knowledge of CNC programs (Fanuc as well as some Mazatrol or conversational).
  • Accomplished setting and proving skills.
  • Able to understand engineering drawings.
  • Good knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds, cutters etc.
  • Able to use measuring instruments – micrometers, verniers etc.
  • Able to work to a high degree of complexity and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise.
