Micheldever Tyres is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Stock Shift Supervisor with excellent work ethic to join our team. Reporting to the Shift Manager/Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the shift operation through a team of warehouse operative and or Drivers.
You will be responsible for implementing the Companies Standard Operational Policies, Procedures and Practices including Health and Safety. As a support to the Shift Manager/Operations Manager you will take a proactive approach to drive the Shift forward with new initiatives, whilst creating a positive working environment and culture for team members.
- Location: Bury St Edmunds
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:00-16:00
- Must have: Warehouse / Logistics experience, with proven leadership skills. Please be aware heavy lifting is involved.

About the role
- Creating daily and weekly plans as required
- Drive efficiencies, whilst improving service levels
- Accountable for ensuring all team members comply with all aspects of Legal and Company defined legislations and policies
- Monitoring and control of process accuracy
- Promote and drive company initiatives effectively
- Support the Shift Manager/Operations Manager to maximise stock levels and product availability.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure legal compliance.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to excellent Customer Service is delivered
About You
- Demonstratable leadership skills
- Experience of Health & Safety management in a similar environment
- Experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Previous warehouse operations experience logistics operations preferred
- Experience of creating operational plans ideal but not essential
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
