The historic, community-owned Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton was bought by the community in 2023 and reopened in 2024. We are now looking for a chef de partie (4-5 shifts per week) to complete our friendly kitchen team. If you think you’d like to be part of this, read on and look at the video below.

Our kitchen
We have a small kitchen in the heart of the pub and are slowly upgrading to ensure service is smooth and effective. If successful, you will be working alongside/overlapping with our dedicated and hard-working head chef to deliver food that will keep our customers coming back for more.

If successful you will be:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
- Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Contributing to the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Ideally we are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:
- Level 2 Food Safety Awards
- Minimum 1 years relevant experience
- Experience of kitchen equipment
- Understandable level of English spoken and written
- Must be able to drive due to rural location
