Art Teacher – Bradford

About the role

A well‑regarded secondary school is seeking a talented, creative, and committed Art Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time maternity cover position, suitable for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about delivering inspiring and high‑quality Art education to secondary pupils.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and thriving Art department and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. The school is looking for a teacher who can motivate students, encourage creativity, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering creative, well‑structured Art lessons
• Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (experience with GCSE Art is desirable)
• Ensuring progress for all students through effective assessment and feedback
• Creating an inspiring, resource‑rich classroom environment
• Contributing to departmental planning, curriculum development, and displays
• Participating in wider school responsibilities and occasional extracurricular activities

Pre‑requisites

• Be an experienced Art Teacher with strong subject knowledge
• Hold QTS or equivalent secondary teaching qualification
• Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Have excellent classroom management and organisational skillsBe enthusiastic, creative, and committed to student success
• Be able to work full‑time for the duration of the maternity cover
