Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Trainee Machine Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or progress a career in the timber industry. Full training will be provided, including the chance to develop machine operating skills within a fast-paced sawmill environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operation of sawmill machinery and equipment (training provided)
  • Handle, sort, and stack timber products safely and efficiently
  • Support production teams with material preparation and workflow
  • Follow stock control processes for incoming and outgoing timber
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Carry out any additional tasks needed to support the smooth running of the sawmill

Qualifications & Experience

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks
  • Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Interest in developing machinery operation skills
