Overview
Social Sciences Teacher (Psychology & Sociology) – Brent, England. Permanent, full-time position starting September 2026. Salary: GBP 36,745 – GBP 60,000 per annum plus TLRs available.
An outstanding secondary school is looking to appoint a Social Sciences Teacher who can teach KS4 & KS5, with Psychology & Sociology as the priority subjects. There is the option to include other subjects and a mixed timetable if you wish.
Responsibilities
- Teach Social Sciences, with priority on Psychology and Sociology, to KS3–KS5.
- Possibility to teach additional subjects such as Humanities (History or Geography), RE, and PSHE as part of a mixed timetable.
- Take on responsibilities that may include KS4 or KS5 coordination or pastoral duties for experienced teachers.
- Support a positive learning environment and inspire students.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Must have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of gaining it.
- Strong academic record across degree, A Levels, and GCSEs.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a Good or Outstanding level.
- Willingness to listen to feedback.
