Yard Operative

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance forklift or other hand truck.
• Operate Telehandler to move and tip dolavs into a trailer.
• Operate Shunter truck to move trailers on/off the loading bays and in the Offal area.
• Weigh the Offal (CAT2/CAT3) trailers on the weight bridge to maintain the required trailer fill.
• Record the required information on daily checks (trailer lists/trailer checks).
• Follow quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
• Perform daily equipment counts as required.
• Unload/load deliveries of equipment (pallets, dolavs, trays).
• Inspect and perform maintenance of Counterbalance, Telahandler, and Shunter (pre-start checks).
• Use a compactor and regularly empty rubbish bins.
• Clean as you go, litter picking; pressure wash and prepare the yard for all weather conditions.

What you will need

• Counterbalance Forklift Licence – Essential.
• Shunter License / HGV – Preferred.
• Telehandler Licence – Preferred.
