Head Door Supervisor – Bonnie Rogue’s Bristol Bristol

This is a key leadership role suited to an individual with proven experience within the nightlife and hospitality sector, capable of managing a busy front-of-house environment while maintaining exceptional standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

As Head Door Supervisor, you will take responsibility for overseeing all door operations, leading the security team, handling incidents effectively, and ensuring the venue maintains a safe, welcoming, and controlled atmosphere at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, organise, and supervise the venue’s door supervision team
• Ensure the safety and welfare of customers, staff, and contractors
• Oversee venue entry procedures, queue management, and ID checks
• Handle incidents, refusals, and conflict situations professionally
• Maintain a strong visible presence throughout operating hours
• Liaise effectively with venue management, emergency services, and local authorities where required
• Ensure compliance with licensing objectives and venue policies
• Complete incident reporting and maintain accurate records
• Deliver a high standard of professionalism and customer interaction at all times

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Previous experience in a Head Door Supervisor or senior security role
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
• Experience working within busy nightlife or late-night hospitality venues
• Excellent conflict management and de‑escalation ability
• Professional appearance and reliable work ethic
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
