We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the role will offer training, mentoring and career development opportunities. The position can be based at our Glasgow, Almondvale, Leeds or Warrington office; hybrid working is available.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in preparing, pricing and submitting tenders of high quality, and will possess full analytical estimating knowledge and experience in preparing contract preliminaries. Candidates should ideally have been predominantly working in a fitout, housing or general construction environment, and should be educated to at least HND level.
Additional qualifications include robust commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and sub‑contractors to build strong and rewarding ongoing relationships. Excellent time‑management, analytical approach, communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work well as part of a team are required.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for a dedicated Estimator with a background in the achievement of multiple tender wins. The successful candidate must demonstrate drive and energy to continually look for ways to improve our business success rate and possess the confidence to work on their own initiative.
