Chorley Phoenix Hockey Club is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious coach to lead our Women’s 1st Team for the 2026/27 season and beyond. We are a growing, friendly and ambitious club currently fielding three ladies teams, with a strong club culture and a real focus on development, enjoyment and long-term sustainability. Following a positive season both on and off the pitch, we are looking for the right individual to help drive the next stage of the club’s development. This role would suit someone who is passionate about player development, creating a positive environment and helping shape the future direction of a community‑focused club with strong ambitions.
Job Description
- Lead and deliver weekly coaching sessions (Tuesday evenings) for the Women’s 1st Team
- Support matchday performance and player development
- Work collaboratively with captains, committee members and wider club coaches
- Help create an enjoyable, inclusive and ambitious team environment
- Support integration across the wider club structure and player pathway
- Contribute towards the club’s long‑term playing and development objectives
What We’re Looking For
- Has experience coaching hockey players and teams
- Communicates positively and effectively
- Can motivate and develop players of varying experience levels
- Shares our values around inclusivity, teamwork and club culture
- Is organised, reliable and enthusiastic
- Relevant coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential for the right person.
