Driver Attendant – Schools


Plays a vital role in helping children and young people access education safely and reliably. We work closely with schools, families and specialist services to make sure every pupil—particularly those with additional needs—receives the support they require during their journey. As a Driver Attendant, you’ll be part of a friendly, dedicated group who share a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and providing a calm, supportive environment from the moment pupils step on board.


We are currently recruiting for a 20 hour post in St Albans.


Driver Attendant – Adults


We are currently recruiting for relief posts which are variable hour contracts in the following areas Watford, Bushey, South Oxley & Rickmansworth as well as North East and Central Hertfordshire.


Do you enjoy a role that combines practical work with meaningful human connection? We’re seeking caring, dependable individuals to join our Growth & Environment team as Driver Attendants to support some of the county’s most vulnerable residents.


In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting elderly service users to access their day services. Alongside driving, you’ll provide assistance, reassurance and a welcoming presence, ensuring journeys are safe, comfortable and respectful. Your support will help people remain independent, engaged and active within their local community.


Day Service Drivers


Greenhills Day Service – Hemel Hempstead


25 hours per week


Brocket Road – Hoddesdon


25 hours per week


Ware Road Day Service – Hertford


20 hours per week


St Albans Day Service – St Albans


25 hours per week


Baldock Day Centre – Baldock

Essential


About you



  • You’ll be licenced to drive minibus-type vehicles with a full unrestricted D1 category licence.

  • You’ll be a confident and safe driver.

  • You’ll have a caring and professional approach.

  • You’ll have experience of driving both manual and automatic vehicles.


Part time hours are 25 hours per week, split shift (2.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday)
