Hours:Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break, Friday 08:00 – 13:00
Salary:Highly competitive DOE + monthly bonuses
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter/Operator
To set and operate CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Set CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality
- Obtain Quality Control authorisation on the first off components
- Check all components are machined from the correct material
- Ensure all components are processed in accordance with the production layout, raising any discrepancies or required amendments with supervision
- Ensure all components are machined to drawing dimensions and tolerances
- Ensure all processes are performed efficiently and within set cycle times
- Comply with the company’s Quality Control procedures at all times
- Comply with the company’s Health and Safety policy at all times
- Recommend improvements to methods or processes to enhance quality or efficiency
- Maintain work area and machinery in a clean, tidy and organised condition
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested
Key Skills of a CNC Setter/Operator
- Experience setting and operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets
- Awareness of health and safety practices within a machine shop environment
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
