Refuse Loader

Overview

Refuse Loader – Bedford. Pay rate: £12.71 per hour. Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start – ongoing agency work. This role is with the local council’s waste management department.

Responsibilities

• Collecting household waste and recycling across Bedford
• Working as part of a close-knit team of refuse loaders and drivers
• Handling bins, bags and containers safely and efficiently
• Supporting the smooth running of daily waste management operations

Qualifications

• Good physical health and fitness, as this is a physically demanding role
• Team players with a positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors
• Previous experience as a refuse loader, waste operative, bin loader or recycling operative would be an advantage, but not essential
