Our client is a well-established manufacturer of specialty metals and alloys with a strong international reputation built over more than 80 years. They are looking for an experienced European Sales Manager to join their commercial team — someone who knows the metals industry and understands the demands of selling into aerospace.
This role requires regular Overseas travel.
The Role
- Based in Rotherham and reporting to the Commercial Director, you will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of European accounts, with a particular focus on the aerospace sector.
- Develop new business — identifying prospects, building relationships and converting opportunities.
- Negotiate long-term supply agreements as well as handling spot sales.
- Work closely with technical teams to support customer programmes and approvals.
- Travel regularly across the UK and Europe to visit customers and attend industry events.
- Keep a close eye on the numbers — forecasting accurately and reporting to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- A background in the metals or materials industry.
- Experience selling into aerospace or other technically demanding sectors.
- The ability to discuss product specifications and technical requirements confidently with customers.
- A track record of managing long-term accounts alongside winning new business.
- Commercial sharpness — comfortable with pricing, margins and market movements.
- A full UK driving licence and genuine willingness to travel.
