Shift Leader — Children’s Homes Residential Care Specialist

Position

Shift Leader – Children’s Homes. Salary: £36,231 – £40,640 (based on attendance and up to four paid sleep‑ins per month).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
• Lead and support the staff team, maintaining smooth operations and high care standards.
• Deputise for Team Leaders when required.
• Build trusting relationships with young people, fostering confidence and well‑being.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Can‑do, team‑player attitude, willing to help others.
• Authenticity, empathy and resilience to manage challenging situations.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least twelve months.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – or willingness to study with company support.
• Experience with children and young people with special educational needs is desirable but not mandatory.
