CNC MILLER OR CNC TURNER – SETTER/OPERATOR – PROGRAMMING NOT NEEDED

Location: Birmingham (near the Jewellery Quarter)

Hours: Afternoon Shift – Monday to Thursday (2:30 PM – 11 PM); Friday – 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Pay: £20–21 per hour

Contek Recruitment is hiring a CNC Miller or CNC Turner for a client specializing in the design, development, and production of bespoke components across industries such as aerospace, medical, and electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC turning or milling machines, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high‑quality components.
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.

Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in setting and operating CNC machines with controls such as Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak, Haas, or Siemens.
  • Experience in programming is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proactive approach to problem‑solving and willingness to learn and implement new techniques.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality components that meet client specifications.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within set timeframes.
  • Demonstrate leadership by maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all operations.
