LUNCHTIME WELFARE ASSISTANT

Job Summary

Location: Kirkham St Michael’s Church Of England Primary School, School Lane, Kirkham, Preston, Lancashire, PR4 2SL. School runs 195 pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunch hour from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m.
• Promote good table manners, behaviour indoors and outdoors.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of the children.
• Assist with lunchtime provision to create a safe and happy environment.
• Administer first aid and log any incidents.
• Participate in in‑service training and development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working with children.
• Experience in a school environment.
• First aid knowledge or commitment to obtain certification.

Contract

12‑month contract. Position subject to successful enhanced DBS disclosure and online search as per Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025.
