Our client is a major Airport Services Business providing a wide range of services including Baggage, Exterior & Interior Aircraft Washing, Fumigation, and administrative support to major airlines throughout the UK. Following strong and continued growth, they are looking to add additional cleaning support to their expanding team at Gatwick.
Job Description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our clients’ team of Hangar Cleaners. Hangar cleaners are responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of aircrafts while ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable workplace at Gatwick Airport. The role covers a wide scope of cleaning tasks, requiring the ability to react to various circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Use both dry and wet techniques to manually clean the outside of an aircraft.
- General cleaning of the interior (hoovering, mopping, emptying bins, etc).
- Cleaning areas include aircraft, hangar, toilets.
- Cleaning of company vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Take on ad‑hoc emergency work.
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Experience in cleaning and/or similar roles.
- Comfortable cleaning a variety of areas (toilets, bathrooms, etc).
- Knowledge of airport operations is an advantage.
- Commitment to the shift pattern and times.
- Provide five years worth of checkable history.
- Provide a basic DBS certificate.
