Job Summary

Processing Operative – Day Shift – Monday to Friday only.Location: Newton Abbot, United Kingdom.Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.Shift pattern: 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm (Monday to Friday).Salary: £27,573.14 per annum + £1,918.80 shift allowance.

  • Operate shredding and blending equipment safely.
  • Operate the front‑end loader for the majority of the shift while completing regular equipment and process checks.
  • Complete pre‑shift inspections and operate mobile plant (FLT training provided).
  • Perform level‑one maintenance and report equipment defects.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Meet production deadlines and ensure product quality.
  • Follow all HSE protocols and report incidents promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Valid loading shovel license.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Good numeracy, literacy and IT competence.
  • Understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols.
  • Industrial experience preferred.
  • Safety‑focused with strong communication skills.
