About the role

Justteachers is hiring a Specialist Behaviour Support Assistant for a SEND-focused secondary school in Northampton. This full-time role runs from July 2026 to May 2027. You will provide targeted support for pupils with complex behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individual behaviour support plans
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff
• Promote positive engagement and de-escalation strategies
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress

Pre-requisites

• Experience supporting pupils with complex behavioural needs
• Calm, resilient, and patient approach
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
• Two professional references
