Aspiring Psychologist – Learning Support Assistant Maidenhead
Are you a Psychology graduate or an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to build a career in mental health, education, or clinical psychology?
Do you want hands‑on experience supporting young people with anxiety, trauma, and emotional barriers to learning?
We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist provision in Maidenhead, supporting students with SEMH needs, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), and complex emotional challenges.
About the Role
This setting works with young people who have struggled to engage with mainstream education due to:
- Anxiety and depression
- Emotionally based school avoidance (school refusal)
- Trauma and negative educational experiences
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Your role will be to help students rebuild confidence, trust, and emotional stability, supporting them to re‑engage with education at their own pace.
You’ll be working in a small, highly supportive environment focused on:
- Emotional regulation
- Strong relationship building
- Personalised and flexible learning approaches
Start Dates Available
We are hiring for multiple intakes:
- 13th April 2026 (main intake)
- June / July 2026
- September 2026 (new academic year)

- Promote independence, resilience, and life skills
