Role Overview

An experienced CNC Machinist will set, operate, and maintain CNC machinery to manufacture precision-engineered metal components to high quality standards in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Requirements for the CNC Machinist

• Demonstrated experience in CNC machining and/or a strong academic background in engineering, ideally supported by a recognised machining apprenticeship
• Previous experience working with metal components
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficient in conducting self‑inspection of machined components using manual measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience setting and operating CNC machinery
• Knowledge of precision machining techniques
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Understanding of engineering tolerances and specifications
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment

Desirable Experience

• Additional grinding machinery experience
• Additional EDM (Electrical Discharge Machinery) experience
• Experience with multi‑axis CNC machines would be advantageous
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes
