Job Description:

Miller’s Vanguard, a Specialist Maintenance Provider for Bakery & Catering Equipment, are looking for a Workshop Packaging Operative to join their workshop-based team at Mossfield Mill. The individual will be responsible for packaging finished goods in accordance with agreed high packaging standards prior to distribution.

Whilst working individually for the most part, the successful candidate will also be part of a strong team, working together to meet targets and maintain quality of the highest standard, packaging assets to some of the UK’s leading coffee vendors and Supermarket chains.

Duties for a Workshop Packaging Operative include:

  • Receive incoming products and prepare them for the packaging process
  • Check that all products are in suitable condition and meet quality standards
  • Package, label, and present products accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the work area
  • Report any issues, defects, or concerns promptly to the Manager
  • Work flexibly as part of the team and support colleagues when required

The Ideal Workshop Packaging Operative will have the following:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritise your workload and work well under pressure
  • A professional attitude towards work and a willingness to remain flexible
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Good numeracy, literacy and PC skills
