The Role

As a Children’s Assessment Social Worker, you will:

• Undertake Section 17 & Section 47 assessments
• Carry out timely, high-quality child and family assessments
• Manage a varied caseload within statutory timescales
• Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children
• Contribute to effective decision-making at the point of referral
• Participate in a duty rota, with every 4th week being a full duty week in the office

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 3 years’ permanent post-qualified experience within children’s social care
• At least 3 years’ experience in an Assessment Team
• Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding procedures, legislation and frameworks
• Excellent assessment, communication, and risk management skills
• A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
