Temporary until 20 July 2026; dependent on SEND funding
Full time, term time only
32.5 hours per week
Grade 3 £24,404 (pro rata)
Responsibilities
The pupils, staff, parents and governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work with SEND pupils in Key Stage 2 classes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of working with children/young people, specifically working with children with SEND. Experience in KS1 and/or KS2.
- TA specific qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 2 or 3.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- An understanding of the varied needs of children as they develop socially and academically.
- A knowledge of behaviour management techniques that support school and classroom practices.
- Knowledge of restorative practice to support SEND pupils.
- Willingness to take part in appropriate training and personal and professional development
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to use ICT/the internet and email to support pupils’ learning.
