Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Content Marketing Writer to drive high‑impact, conversion‑focused content across web, campaigns, and customer storytelling. This is not a traditional “writing” role; it is a strategic position sitting at the intersection of Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Brand. Your goal is to translate complex product insights into clear, benefit‑driven narratives that drive engagement, conversion, and pipeline.
How You’ll Contribute
- Bridge Messaging & Action: Partner with Product Marketing to turn complex ICP insights into high‑performing content across all channels.
- Continuous Evolution: Use performance data and user behavior to iterate on content, ensuring it always hits the mark.
- Enable Sales: Translate customer success into assets that empower our sales teams and fuel our marketing campaigns.
- Search & AI Optimization: Collaborate with our performance agency to ensure content is intent‑driven, ranking high in both traditional search and AI‑generated results.
- Develop Compelling Content: For campaigns, social media, email, and nurture programs, including supporting campaign narratives and takeover motions. Ensure content is ICP‑relevant, on‑message, and designed to drive engagement and conversion.

- Master Storyteller: Strong writer and storyteller with a portfolio that proves you can handle everything from a concise headline to a deep‑dive narrative.
- Champion the Customer Voice: Deeply curious about the customer and consistently reflect their voice in everything you create.
- Value Collective Wisdom: Build trusted partnerships across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Brand/Digital.
- Act with Ownership: Proactively identify gaps in our story and propose ways to improve how we show up in the market.
- Data‑Informed: View performance metrics as a creative tool, using them to refine voice and strategy.
What Sets You Apart (The Foundation)
- B2B SaaS Expertise: 3‑5 years of experience writing for sophisticated software audiences, ideally within EdTech or Higher Education.
- A Versatile Portfolio: Demonstrates a range from high‑converting headlines to deep‑dive customer stories.
- Storytelling Instincts: “Nose” for a good story and interviewing skills to draw out powerful insights.
- Modern Search Fluency: Understands SEO and AI‑Engine Optimization best practices.
- Ownership Mentality: Self‑directed and organized, managing multiple workstreams and collaborations without losing sight of the goal.
What Sets You Apart
- Familiarity with WordPress, Semrush, and GA4.
- Experience working alongside or briefing a performance marketing agency.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 30 Days: Build a deep understanding of Panopto’s customers, product, and positioning. Begin contributing to live projects and identify content improvement opportunities.
- Within 60 Days: Actively shape how Panopto shows up across key channels, owning sections of the website and contributing to campaign narratives.
- Within 90 Days & Beyond: Take full ownership of core content areas—website, campaigns, and customer storytelling—delivering measurable improvements in engagement, conversion, and pipeline.
Benefits
Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 USD per year. Position also eligible for a bonus. Base pay may vary based on experience and location. Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
