At Go Ape you’ll work amongst some really great teams in a rewarding role, where you’ll learn a whole bunch of enhanced skills including customer service, taking and giving instruction, following procedures, teamwork, risk assessments and reporting, communication, confidence, independence and more!

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming customers and providing customer WOW while you prepare them to take part in their activity; fitting, removing and inspecting harnesses and protective equipment
  • Instructing and briefing customers on safety procedures and the safe way of experiencing activities – evaluating participant competence and safety at all times
  • Delivering the adventure, ensuring an amazing customer experience
  • Hosting schools and education groups, helping children to take on new adventures and overcome their fears
  • Monitoring and patrolling the course; ensuring all participants are safely conducting themselves and assisting where necessary
  • Carrying out emergency drills in accordance with company directives and training
  • Ensuring all landing sites are maintained to the correct standard
  • Carrying out course checks and recording/reporting findings
  • Caring for equipment and facilities
  • Helping with any local marketing opportunities as required

What you’ll need

  • A ‘customer comes first’ attitude with drive and enthusiasm to achieve customer WOW!
  • A cheerful disposition, even when under pressure, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • To be an enthusiastic team player but able to work under own initiative without supervision
  • A high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Safety conscious frame of mind with a respect and understanding of Health and Safety
  • To be able to demonstrate attention to detail and ability to diligently follow procedures
  • To like working outdoors and have a good head for heights
  • To be able to get to site – which may mean having your own transport as some of our sites are remote without public transport links
  • Able to perform physical duties (with reasonable adjustments where required)

Hours: Minimum 16 hours per 4 weeks – part time/weekend and holiday availability essential

Contract: Fixed Term

Pay: Up to £13.45 per hour

Holiday: 28 days per annum, calculated pro‑rata
