Company Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established building services company based in Essex. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yardman to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role

This is a hands‑on position supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a busy yard. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are organised, maintained, and ready for use by site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment
• Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
• Preparing and issuing equipment to site operatives
• Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
• Coordinating deliveries and collections
• Carrying out basic maintenance and upkeep tasks
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Full, valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous yard or labouring experience preferred
• Good level of physical fitness
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools is advantageous
