PRU Teacher

PRU Teacher in Lewisham – full‑time, immediate start. Salary £170‑£300 per day (depending on experience).

Job Summary

Seeking a resilient and engaging PRU Teacher to support pupils aged 11‑16 within an alternative provision setting. The role involves teaching small classes, delivering a differentiated and engaging curriculum, and supporting pupils who may present with behavioural challenges, SEMH needs, and disrupted educational backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach and manage small classes within the PRU setting.
• Deliver a differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
• Implement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulation.
• Create a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment.
• Assist pupils to re‑engage with education and make progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching in a PRU, alternative provision or challenging setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills and experience providing emotional regulation support.
• Commitment to full‑time teaching and immediate availability.
• Ability to commute easily to Lewisham.
