The Role & Key Responsibilities
Title: Self-Employed Milk Sampler
Location: South Devon / South Hams
As a Self-Employed Milk Sampler, you will visit farms and collect individual cow milk samples during a whole milking. These samples support NMR’s milk testing, recording, and data insights, enabling farmers to monitor herd health, improve milk quality, and boost productivity.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Flexible hours – early mornings or late evenings, fitting around other commitments.
- Training provided – farm experience is a bonus, not essential.
- Independence & variety – mix of farm visits across the countryside.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driving licence & own transport.
- Organised and self‑motivated.
- Interest in farm life and dairy production.
Self-Employed Role
As a self-Employed contractor, you will manage your work independently. Payment is based on herd size and per-cow basis, discussed before allocation to farms.
Disability Confident Employer – we are committed to ensuring our recruitment process works for everyone. If you need additional support (alternative formats, support dog, sign language interpreter), let us know.
