SGS College’s Construction Faculty have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Lecturer.

  • Salary: Up to £37,545.00 (dependent on qualifications and industry experience) + Industry recruitment uplift reviewed annually
  • Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering to full‑time learners aged 16‑18 on L1 and L2 programmes, hold a level 2 qualification in construction trades, and possess teaching or assessing qualifications. SGS is committed to attracting skilled tradespeople from industry, and successful applicants will receive support.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for curriculum planning, development and implementation in your department
  • Ensure effective implementation of the College Quality Management system and quality review schedule within the area
  • Effectively manage all aspects of quality within the department to ensure development and progress for both staff and learners
  • Use management information to raise the quality of learning, improving attendance, retention, achievement, progression and value added
  • Value diversity and promote equal opportunities
  • Work within health and safety guidelines and be aware of your responsibilities for health and safety
  • Adhere to college policies and procedures, including data protection
  • Be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
