Heavy CNC Machinist – Backshift

Location: North Yorkshire (DL10)

Rate: £17.41 per hourOvertime Paid at £26.11 per hour

ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operative to join one of our large engineering companies on a backshift basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing structural steel company with long‑term stability, overtime opportunities and modern CNC machinery.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Thursday: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PMFriday: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Duties Include

• Operating CNC machinery within a heavy steel environment
• Working with Voortman, Kaltenbach and Peddinghaus machinery
• Loading and unloading heavy steel components
• Using overhead cranes to safely lift and move heavy parts
• Monitoring machine performance and maintaining production standards
• Following workshop health & safety procedures

Experience Required

• Previous CNC machining / operating experience
• Experience within structural steel or heavy engineering environments
• Crane experience preferred
• Experience with Voortman, Kaltenbach or Peddinghaus machinery advantageous
