About the Role
Malvern College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Supervisor to support the delivery of high‑quality catering services for boarding and day students, alongside assisting with a variety of school events and hospitality functions. The role requires support in day‑to‑day food and service delivery, ensuring pupils, staff and visitors receive nutritious meals with care, efficiency and attention to detail. The successful candidate will work with Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh, innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.
The role involves daily kitchen management, allergen safety, service setup, cleanliness, compliance with food safety, health & safety, safeguarding procedures and support for hospitality events and occasional out‑of‑hours functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation, service and presentation of food to a high standard
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas
- Assist with food labelling, temperature checks and allergen controls
- Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
- Set up and clear service areas ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations
- Follow all food safety, health & safety and safeguarding procedures
- Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out‑of‑hours functions
- Accountability for following and championing allergen controls
Qualifications
- Ideally experienced in contract or high‑volume catering
- Good knowledge of health & safety
- Flexible, can‑do attitude, customer‑focused
