Role Overview

Albany Beck is growing its Change & Transformation Practice, with immediate deployment opportunities onsite with one of our most Globally recognised Investment Banking clients, based in London. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale settlements transformation programme within an Asset Servicing environment. This role sits within the Settlements / Custody domain and will play a key part in delivering change aligned to broader industry-wide initiatives impacting post-trade operations. The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of business analysis capability and operational domain knowledge, enabling them to quickly integrate into the team and contribute with minimal onboarding support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements across settlements workflows
  • Translate operational needs into clear requirements for technology and change teams
  • Conduct as‑is and to‑be process mapping across custody and settlements processes
  • Support definition of acceptance criteria and ensure traceability through delivery
  • Support delivery of a settlements‑focused transformation programme
  • Analyse and improve post‑trade processing, settlement flows and exception handling
  • Work closely with operations teams to understand current challenges and identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure alignment with industry practices and regulatory expectations within asset servicing
  • Engage with stakeholders across Operations, Technology and Change teams
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to gather requirements and validate solutions
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring clarity and alignment
  • Work within structured delivery frameworks to support project milestones and timelines
  • Contribute to testing activities, including UAT support where required
  • Track requirements and delivery progress using appropriate tools and methodologies

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Asset Servicing, Custody or Post‑Trade environments
  • Strong knowledge of Settlements processes, including trade lifecycle and reconciliation
  • Background in operations or operational change within Financial Services
  • Experience working on large‑scale transformation or industry‑driven change programmes
  • Ability to work independently and contribute with minimal supervision
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for requirements tracking and delivery management is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with project delivery tools and documentation standards
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and documentation tools
  • Strong understanding of custody and settlements operations
