Salary
£26,903 – £30,110 per annum, dependent on experience (pay award pending)
Overview
The Community Wellbeing team supports a diverse range of initiatives that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities, including food education, physical activity, emotional wellbeing, social isolation and the North Herts Healthy Hub.
We have secured funding through Hertfordshire County Council and the Crisis Resilience Fund to deliver a programme of food education across North Herts, Stevenage and Welwyn Hatfield. We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual who loves working in the community and supporting people to improve their wellbeing.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working directly with local communities in customer‑facing environments and supporting programmes that meet community needs. Experience in a health improvement or community wellbeing setting is desirable but not essential.
- Interest in helping people improve their health and wellbeing, particularly in accessing food education programmes.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to carry out administrative tasks to a high standard.
- Strong track record of demonstrating excellent customer service skills and providing support to people who may be vulnerable.
- Willingness to work at a range of locations across North Herts, Stevenage and Welwyn and Hatfield supporting food tutors to deliver food‑education interventions such as cookery workshops, budgeting and meal‑planning classes and demonstrations.
- Successful applicants will be subject to background checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Hybrid Working
Flexibility with homeworking and office‑based days, dependent on service delivery requirements.
Working Pattern
Fixed Term until 31/03/29. This job is open to flexible working patterns and working hours.
