Templer HomeBuild (THB) has a great opportunity for an Operations Administrator to join its growing customer service team based in Newton Abbot.
Working across compliance, reactive repairs, refurbishment, painting and planned workstreams for Teign Housing residents, you will provide essential admin‑based support to our Contracts Managers and the Planning/Scheduling team to help maintain smooth and efficient operational delivery of our maintenance services.

The Operations Administrator Role
Your main responsibility will be to aid the operational teams through completing routine and ad‑hoc administrative and office-related duties.
Responsibilities
- Creating and issuing bespoke letters to residents, such as key information for upcoming works, progress updates, and compliance notifications.
- Assisting the scheduling team by booking appointments for planned surveys, gas safety inspections, compliance works, and repairs with residents.
- Creating and maintaining accurate Health and Safety reporting and filing; collating weekly/monthly performance reports.
- Updating housing systems with stock condition surveys and completions to keep records up to date and compliant.
- Issuing task orders to sub-contractors and material purchases.
- Raising and completing work orders on contracts; general database administration.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a team providing administrative, communication and organisational support. Housing, construction or maintenance sector experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Mail merge skills are advantageous and the ability to adapt to new systems is important.
- Excellent written literacy skills and effective communication and rapport building skills.
- Initiative-taking, thorough, organised and methodical; enjoys following processes and delivering efficient, accurate and accountable work.
