EV Charging Systems Validation Engineer

Expleo is seeking an experienced EV Charging Systems Validation Engineer to support a leading automotive client in delivering world‑class electric vehicle charging systems. This is a fully on-site role based in Coventry, working at the heart of an advanced engineering environment.

You will play a key role in validating charging systems, vehicle communication protocols, and HV components across multiple platforms. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in hands‑on testing, problem‑solving, and working in fast‑paced automotive programmes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands‑on experience with EV charging systems, power electronics, or HV electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of CAN/LIN communication, Ethernet, and automotive diagnostic tools (Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.).
• Knowledge of charging protocols: CCS (Combo), NACS, CHAdeMO, GB/T, Type‑2, Type‑1.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and system requirements.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers, and charging simulators.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
• Experience working within agile teams.
• Experience with 400V/800V high-voltage systems.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards: ISO 15118, IEC 61851, DIN 70121, ISO26262.
• Understanding of HV safety procedures & risk assessments.
• Experience with Vector and ETAS tools (e.g., CANoe, INCA).
• HVCAP (or SA7) Training.
• Full UK driving licence (preferably Class 2 or Class 3)

Tools Required

• Vector CAN, Ethernet & PLC logging devices with licenses
