Junior Project Manager (Technology & Delivery)

Location: Sheffield (hybrid, 1-2 days a week). Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience plus benefits

Junior Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and coordination of projects across technology and operational teams
  • Maintain project documentation including plans, trackers, risk logs, and status updates
  • Monitor timelines, dependencies, and deliverables, escalating risks or delays where needed
  • Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance activities
  • Prepare agendas, capture notes, and track actions through to completion
  • Assist with reporting updates for stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Work alongside technical teams to track progress against priorities and delivery cycles
  • Support testing, releases, and implementation activities
  • Help document processes, workflows, and system updates
  • Assist with issue tracking and ensure actions are followed through to resolution

Junior Project Manager Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative capability
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on follow-through
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
  • Experience using project or collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, Monday.com, or similar
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a project coordination, PMO, or junior project role
  • Exposure to technology, digital, or systems-based projects
  • Awareness of Agile or other delivery methodologies
  • Experience supporting workshops, testing, or change initiatives
  • Familiarity with reporting processes, dashboards, or project governance
