About The Role

Being a Community Carer is a rewarding role, it’s all about supporting individuals in our community to stay in their own home. As a Community Carer you will provide personal care and support in clients’ homes, including washing, dressing, food preparation, medication administration, documentation, and encouraging independence.

  • Providing personal care and support in clients’ homes.
  • Administering medication in line with a client’s care plan (full training provided).
  • Ensuring that all documentation is promptly maintained and recorded.
  • Supporting clients to enjoy life and remain as independent as possible.
  • Working with staffed shifts: either 07.00‑14.30 or 16.00‑22.00, or as a split shift 07.00‑14.30 & 16.00‑22.00.

Qualifications

No previous experience or qualifications are required; you will receive comprehensive paid training.

  • A naturally kind, patient, and compassionate person, able to put a smile on clients’ faces.
  • Good timekeeping skills; reliable and attentive.
  • A valid driving licence and own vehicle.

Benefits

  • £500 welcome bonus paid on completion of your probationary period.
  • Double time on bank holidays and an extra £1 per hour on weekends.
  • £1 per hour pay for every 20 miles travelled plus 45p for every additional mile.
  • Company Sick Pay, increasing with length of service.
  • Equivalent to 30 days of paid annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to equivalent of 33 after 5 years’ service (pro‑rata).
