- Someonewho has undertaken relevant training that endorses their ability to coverclasses and support children’s learning (e.g. level 3 / HLTA status)
- Someonewith previous experience of covering classes across Foundation Stage and/or KeyStage 1
- Particularinterest and expertise within the Early Years / KS1
- Previousexperience of delivering intervention
- Agood understanding of the appropriate curriculum for Foundation Stage and KS1and an ability to use this knowledge to plan effectively in order to impact onchildren’s learning
- Anability to adapt teaching in response to children’s learning and emerging needs
- Acommitment to maintaining high standards of achievement for all of our children
- Abilityto engage and motivate children
- Abilityto support children with a variety of needs (e.g. medical, behavioural, SEN)
- Excellentcommunication skills and an ability to relate well to children and adults
- Abilityto work as part of a close team
- Abilityto reflect on practice and respond to feedback
- Acommitment to personal and professional development and a willingness todisseminate any training to others
