Forensic Social Worker

Job Opportunity

Day Webster are recruiting for a Band 6 inpatient forensic social worker for our NHS client in Oxford. The role starts as soon as possible on a long‑term contract. Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Department

Low Secure Assessment & Treatment Wards for Women.

Essential

• Knowledge of Forensic Mental Health/in‑patient mental health services.
• Caseload management including complex conditions & cases.
• Evidence‑based, reflective practice and clinical reasoning skills in assessment & treatment.
• Experience in Safeguarding processes and leadership structures.
• Knowledge and application of relevant legislation eg Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act.

Role Requirements

1. Adults Mental Health experience.
2. Valid Driver’s licence.
3. Degree or Diploma in Social Work.
4. Active Professional registration with Social Work England (SWE).
