An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Pastoral Support Worker.
Role and responsibilities
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to young people and their families. Working closely with students, parents, staff and external agencies, you will provide early intervention and pastoral support to improve attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and engagement with learning. The role involves building positive relationships, delivering targeted support, and helping families overcome barriers to education, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive both in school and beyond.
Our Curriculum
As part of the Aspirations Academies Trust at key stage 3 our school offers a unique year 7 and 8 curriculum model. Combining the best of Primary and Secondary practice, the year 7 and 8 model provides students with a smaller staff team than traditional models which aids a seamless transition from Primary to Secondary School. By doing so we prioritise students’ self worth through fostering meaningful relationships with a smaller team of staff. Teams of staff collaborate to ensure the curriculum is engaging, challenging and relevant. Key stage 3 teachers teach the year 7/8 classes a number of times a week and during this time, with support from the year 7/8 team and shared resources and planning, would be teaching a combination of subjects.
The Academy is recruiting for someone who shares our drive to engage and motivate every child to achieve their potential, who will play an important role in our unique and growing Academy.
