Outdoor Health Walk Instructor (New Parents Programme) – Brio Leisure

Based at: Winsford/Chester

Hours of Work: 2 Hours Per Week

Contract Type: Temporary, Part Time

Rate of pay: £20.81 Per Hour

JOB PURPOSE:

To deliver engaging, safe, and progressive outdoor health walk sessions tailored for new parents, babies, and partners (including dads). The role focuses on helping participants increase physical activity, improve mental and physical wellbeing, build functional strength using the natural environment, and connect with other local families.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Session Delivery:

  • Lead 75-minute of weekly outdoor health walk sessions across designated locations for a 10-week programmed block.
  • Facilitate structured warm‑ups and mobility exercises.
  • Guide participants safely through woodland and park environments.
  • Integrate functional strength and movement activities utilizing the natural outdoor environment.

Participant Progression & Safety:

  • Ensure sessions accommodate all fitness levels, providing gradual progression from Week 1 to Week 10 to build participant confidence and fitness.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for new parents and babies.

Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Administer and collect simple wellbeing and activity assessments from participants in Week 1 and Week 10 to help demonstrate programmed impact.

Administration & Logistics:

  • Handle basic session administration, travel, equipment setup, and pack‑down (accounted for within the allocated 2‑hour paid window per session).
