Overview

Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Brighton in their search for a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent position teaching Physical Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Promote participation, teamwork, fitness, and healthy lifestyles through Physical Education.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and behaviour for learning.
  • Organise and supervise practical sports activities safely and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE department to plan schemes of work and share best practice.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings, school sports events, and professional development activities.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
  • Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the PE curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to supporting student achievement, wellbeing, and participation in sport.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
