CAD Technician – Innovative Security Systems Design

Position Overview
Our client, a leading specialist in electronic security systems, is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join their expanding Commercial Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative security solutions for a diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support deliverables throughout the design process, ensuring adherence to project timelines
- Read, produce, and check specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and other key design documents
- Use, create, and develop existing CAD system templates in collaboration with the wider team
- Visit sites to enhance knowledge of real-life environments and installations, informing design decisions
- Coordinate with the design team to meet project deadlines and revise documentation as needed
- Maintain current and future certifications relevant to the role
Requirements
- Autodesk Certified User level of experience or equivalent in CAD software
- Proficiency in working with external references, dynamic blocks, and table/data import in CAD
- Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Competent user of Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of network topology and knowledge of survey techniques and site survey data handling
- Desirable: Experience with Access Control, Intruder Alarm, or IP CCTV systems and knowledge of security system architectures (e.g., C-CURE, Lenel/S2, Gallagher, Genetec, Honeywell)
