Senior Reservations Coordinator

Pay: Up to £31,075.20 per year

Job Description

Do you consider yourself an engaging person with good negotiation skills that can deliver excellent service that our guests will love, in ways that are in line with our budget figures? Do you have previous group reservation booking experience using Opera CLOUD, and are you comfortable multi‑tasking your way through a fast‑paced workload whilst delivering an array of different guest requirements? The Copthorne Cardiff is preparing for reopening and is looking for a Reservations superstar to take control of all bedroom reservation enquiries and processing (including Group bookings). The ideal candidate must have sufficient knowledge and experience of using the Opera CLOUD PMS and therefore be ready to “hit the ground running” with this system, as they will be responsible for all reservations activities upon commencement of this role in readiness for the reopening.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be totally customer focused while following the strategies set by the Revenue Manager / General Manager.
  • Accept, process & manage both individual and group reservations to ensure maximum revenue and occupancy.
  • Grow the business through proactive selling and effective conversion of all bedroom enquiries.
  • Ensure all charges are raised and paid for following established procedures, and ensure accuracy of details on all reservations.
  • Be the main point of contact for Groups between the hotel and the client.
  • Support front desk operations if required at the request of the Front Office Manager.
  • Deal with any guest feedback or requests in a professional and efficient way.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of Opera CLOUD.
  • Organisational skills based around administration.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • A positive and approachable attitude with a commitment to delivering high quality customer service.
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Fluent English both verbally and written.
