Acoustic Tilers | Plymouth

We are seeking a team of Acoustic Tilers for on-going work in Devonport, Plymouth. Immediate starts available.

This role requires an SC clearance which will need to be obtained; we can consider candidates with BPSS.

Requirements

• Carry out acoustic tiling duties in line with project specifications, training, and safety standards.
• Follow all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and complete POWRA assessments prior to work.
• Ensure correct PPE is worn and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Support safe execution of work by adhering to company procedures, emergency instructions, and T Card processes.
• Operate tools and equipment safely, including hand tools and specialist mechanical equipment such as vacuum systems and mixers.
• Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report any defects promptly.
• Minimise material wastage and ensure efficient use of resources; comply with QA/QC and DefStan requirements, including accurate recording of materials and batch numbers.
• Monitor and support environmental controls and readings in line with project requirements.

What you will bring

• Proven experience in acoustic tiling.
• Defence Standard 08-121 Issue 3 Method 2 Acoustic Tiling certificate is preferred, but training will be provided to requalify.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices within a site environment.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to changing work demands.
• Awareness of quality standards and environmental considerations.

Pay Rates

• Basic: £15.24 to £16.87 (Dayshift Mon – Fri 07:30 – 16:00 – 38 hours).
• OT1: £19.81 to £21.93 (Mon – Fri over standard hours during the week and all day Saturdays).
• OT2: £24.39 to £26.99 (All day Sundays).
• Bonus on every hour worked.
