Job Description
Join the Joint Community Rehabilitation service as a Support Worker. You will help older adults regain independence after injury or illness, providing personal care, assisting with therapy exercises, and giving emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Support a varied group of clients across the local community.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
- Provide support with therapy exercises to improve mobility and confidence.
- Offer emotional support to help clients gain independence.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse at ease with people and their advocates.
- Patience, understanding, and a supportive attitude when providing care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel.
Working Hours & Salary
Permanent contracts ranging from 6 to 30 hours per week; apprenticeship contracts available. Salary is £26,824 to £27,254 per annum pro-rata (equivalent to £13.90–£14.13 per hour). Working shifts are between 7 am and 10 pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
