Role Overview
Logistics/Porter – responsible for managing the flow of goods and items within BT’s building portfolios, controlling loading bay systems, supporting back‑of‑house teams and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Move plants, equipment, furniture, deliveries, and materials around the site efficiently as required by the facilities team workstreams (security, material delivery, waste management strategy, cleaning, catering, and post).
- Support planning of event logistics, including loading and unloading of equipment and moving around the building to the correct space; sign in event contractors.
- Support the launch, use and training of the loading bay management system.
- Manage all internal and external traffic and loading bay cleanliness; report and address equipment issues or breakdowns.
- Plan and coordinate with key contractors to meet programme needs and deconflict on‑site space and time where appropriate.
- Support evaluation of suitable delivery management booking systems.
- Manage subcontractors to deliver their package of goods or services.
- Support sustainability by managing waste movements on site and assisting with recycling initiatives.
- Act as Control of Works Authorised Person (AP) and support identification of other relevant APs and Competent Persons (CPs) in the cluster.
- Manage waste service provider and seek improvements with Facilities teams across the site.
Requirements / Qualifications

- Effective teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and manual handling.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a high level of attention to detail.
